Imming Impact is committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and equitable working environment for employees and external collaborators. Gender equality is embedded in our organisational values and decision-making processes. This document serves as our formal Gender Equality Plan and is publicly available on our website and communicated internally.

This plan applies to:

  • Employees
  • Freelancers, contractors, and consultants
  • Job applicants
  • Other people involved in our projects

Work–Life Balance and Organisational Culture

We support flexible working arrangements where operationally feasible, and promote a culture that respects caregiving responsibilities and personal well-being.

Equality in Recruitment and Career Progression

Actions include:

  • Gender-neutral task descriptions
  • Structured interviews
  • Transparent evaluation criteria
  • Equal access to training and advancement

Although freelancers are independent professionals, we commit to fair and transparent engagement practices.

Integration of the Gender Dimension

In all our projects or services, we consider gender perspectives in design, research, innovation, and stakeholder engagement.

Prevention of Harassment and Gender-Based Violence

We follow a Code of Conduct during project collaborations and events, usually the Code if Conduct of the International Network of Open Science Communities. Confidential reporting channels are available to all involved in our projects.

Freelancer and Procurement Equality

We:

  • Maintain a diverse pool of external professionals
  • Use transparent selection criteria
  • Avoid reliance on homogeneous networks
  • Offer fair contract conditions aligned with expertise and market rates

These practices support equitable participation in innovation activities.

Monitoring and Review

Progress is evaluated annually using collected indicators. Findings inform updates to the plan to ensure ongoing organisational development.
